where do you get these figures? i've tried searching online for such figures for individual games and cannot find any...

Usually I get them from the 'box score' of each individual game on MLSNet.com.

most of the attendences on MLSnet are usually tickets sold, not people throught the gates though... so i've heard.

Nice rebound this week, hopefully it will go back up to week 1 and 2 numbers soon.

New York's normal pathetic # really dragged down the average this week. Hope they can figure it out and turn things around... they've got a good team to watch.

You can also find attendances by look at the schedule of played games here:
http://web.mlsnet.com/mls/schedule/index.jsp

PS: A friend who is an intern at MLS said they are taking care this year to make sure attendance figures are much more accurate than the 'tickets distributed'way they did it in past years. For instance in Toronto tickets are electronically scanned as peopl enter the stadium In DC they are counted as well.

At least for Toronto it counts people through the gate. Or some other method other than tickets sold. I just read an article that said the announcement at Wednesday's game in Toronto said it was a sellout of over 20k but the box score says around 19k, which coincides with the author's statement that he saw a few empty seats.

Normally I'd be worried that we'd be at or below last year's average (~15,500 I believe). But after hearing that NY has sold 30K tickets for their match with the Galaxy. I have no doubt the average attendance is going to hit 16K or more this season. Lets hope it can keep up.
