United has agreed to ship 2006 Defender of the Year Bobby Boswell to the champion Houston Dynamo in exchange for back-up goalkeeper Zach Wells and a future draft pick, according to Steven Goff.
Wells has seen limited action, stuck behind veteran Pat Onstad since coming to the Dynamo from New York in 2006. He started three games in 2007, conceding a single goal in 282 minutes played, which equates into a phenomenal 0.32 GAA. Wells has a career 1.17 GAA through 23 games, which is nothing to sneeze at.
Boswell, 24, started 22 games last season for United, but had a bit of a falling out with new coach Tom Soehn. In his three years spent in the nation's capital, Boswell has started 78 games, compiling four goals and four assists. He was also named to the Copa America roster over the summer, playing the full 90 minutes in the Americans' 1-0 loss to Colombia.
