D.C. United captain Jaime Moreno has been called up to the Bolivian national team for their upcoming friendly against Ireland in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Moreno will miss D.C.'s game against the Houston Dynamo on May 26th. "It is always an honor to defend your national team colors," said Moreno.
There is a chance that Moreno will make his country's roster for the upcoming Copa America. If that should happen, he would be absent from the D.C. lineup for atleast three games.
Moreno has struggled to regain his form in MLS this season, scoring just two goals (both penalty kicks) so far in 2007. He is just one goal shy of the all-time MLS mark of 108 set by Jason Kreis.
