Galaxy To Face Chivas At Coliseum

It has been announced that the Los Angeles Galaxy's SuperLiga match against Chivas de Guadalajara will be held at the Los Angeles Coliseum on July 28th, 7:00 p.m. The match will likely be either the second or third with David Beckham in the lineup and is guaranteed to draw a large crowd, so AEG has decided to move the match to the much larger Coliseum.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum has a capacity of 92,516, according to Wikipedia - about as much as 3.5 Home Depot Centers (27,000) put together - and it will likely be very full when the clubs meet. Chivas de Guadalajara is arguably the most popular soccer team in southern California and the Galaxy are undeniable one of the most-talked-about teams in international football right now.

It will be the second of three SuperLiga games for the Galaxy - they face Pachuca on July 24th at the Home Depot Center. Beckham's availability for this game is unknown.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on June 11th - next Monday.
