From Sports Business Daily, Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) has agreed to sell the Chicago Fire to Andell Holdings, a Los Angeles-based private investment owned by Andrew Hauptman and his wife Ellen Bronfman Hauptman. According to a statement from Andell, “The transaction is expected to be completed within 30-45 days and is subject to various closing conditions, including approval by MLS.”
If and when the sale is approved, it would leave AEG with just two teams – Los Angeles and Houston.

Hopefully Houston will use their DP so LA trying to get a DP slot for Donovan will become very interesting.
