The Los Angeles Galaxy have apparently found a taker for snakebit foward Nate Jaqua: the Houston Dynamo.
According to the Houston Chronicle, the two sides have come to an agreement that would send Jaqua to Houston in exchange for back-up defender Kelly Gray and a 2nd-round pick in 2008. The deal is scheduled to be made official tomorrow.
Jaqua, 25, has just one goal to his credit in 2007, a slump that has made him the target for many disgruntled Galaxy fans' aggressions.
Gray, 26, has appeared as both a right-back and midfielder this year, recording one assist in nine games with the defending MLS champs.
TJ's take: The Jaqua deal was made possible by the return of Alan Gordon. Arguably last year's breakout player for the Galaxy, Gordon's return from a stress fracture in his foot gives the Galaxy one too many tall forwards who run like a baby giraffe... and with Jaqua's struggles, it made the decision easy on which one to keep around for the beginning of "The Beckham Era."
