FC Dallas midfielder Ramon Nunez has demanded a trade, citing a lack of playing time.
The sixth overall pick in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft, Nunez scored six goals and added four assists in 2006, both career highs for the Honduran, but has only found the back of the net three times in 2007. He lost his starting place in the Hoops' lineup recently and was left off the roster for Tuesday's SuperLiga match against Chivas de Guadalajara by head coach Steve Morrow. A day earlier, he was involved in a scuffle with teammate Bobby Rhine.
"Ramon and I don't have any issues," said Morrow. "He doesn't seem prepared to want to stay here and fight for his spot. When he got left out, he didn't show that he was prepared enough to work hard and have the right attitude to get back into the team again. So, that's fine with me. He feels at this moment that he needs to leave Dallas and be somewhere else."
