Soccer officials from Australia, Japan and the United States joined together today in Hawaii to unveil the framework for the inaugural Pan-Pacific Championship, to be held in February of 2008.
The four-team event will take place at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu from February 20-23 and will feature the MLS champion Houston Dynamo, the "Crown Jewel of MLS" L.A. Galaxy, Gamba Osaka of Japan's J-League, and the champion of Australia's A-League, to be determined early next year.
"The event will provide the participating teams with high level competition, while enhancing each league's exposure throughout the world," said MLS Commissioner Don Garber.
