Chicago Jersey Sponsor Announced

They may not have a coach, but at least they've got a jersey sponsor. The Chicago Fire has reached an agreement with Best Buy that will see the consumer electronics retailer's logo emblazoned on the front of the club's jerseys starting in 2008.The Chicago Tribune's Luis Arroyave broke the news on his blog - Red Card - and speculates that Fire star Cuauhtemoc Blanco was key to the arrangement, as Best Buy is planning on expanding in Mexico.

Terms of the deal were not announced. Chicago becomes the eighth team in the league to sell advertising space on the front of its jerseys; here are the other seven:
