While we all try to recover from last night's thrilling 2-2 tie between Mexico and the US, here are a few items making news today.

- Colorado Rapids are planning a formal announcement of a player acquisition tomorrow - almost certainly D.C. United's Christian Gomez.

- FC Dallas rumored to be after Derby County midfielder Bob Malcolm and Wycombe Wanderers defender Sam Stockley, according to MLS Rumors.
