The February 2008 FIFA rankings have just been released. While there was little movement at the top, several countries did post noteworthy gains/losses. Many of the big movers are African countries, due in part to the recently completed African Cup of Nations.
* 14th - Ghana - gained 29 spots
* 24th - Ivory Coast - gained 14 spots
* 26th - United States - lost 6 spots
* 38th - Australia - gained 10 spots
* 45th - Nigeria - lost 26 spots
* 47th - Guinea - lost 14 spots
The top nine spots remain unchanged, but Croatia fell out of tenth place, allowing Greece and England to each inch up a spot.
