Jurgen Klinsmann has signed a two-year contract to be a commentator with pay-TV channel Arena, which owns rights to the Bundesliga and broadcasts games from other foreign leagues. "I had a lot of offers after the World Cup to return to Europe, but Arena is the first partner to have convinced me with its concept," Klinsmann said.
Klinsmann was considered almost a sure-thing to replace Bruce Arena as head coach of the USMNT, but shockingly turned down Sunil Gulati's offer after some media outlets had already reported it as a done deal. It now appears that Bob Bradley's job is secure... at least until 2009, when Klinsmann will be in the unemployment line once more.
