BMO Field, home of Toronto FC, is undergoing emergency repairs as bolts and fasteners have falled from the new stadium during games. Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment says the stadium is safe and repairs will not have any affect on Saturday's game against D.C. United.
According to reports, Toronto's rabid fans have been stomping on the all-metal floors of the stadium so much that it has caused material to fall. "We have found a total of six objects which fans have turned in to stadium staff," said MLSE executive vice president of operations Bob Hunter.
"It is a big concern for us and the grandstand builder was very quick to jump on the problems, and we are assuming that the problem has now been rectified and there won't be a reoccurrence," said Hunter.
